Protection

Hi,

I've turned the forum on so that I can talk to you.

I've noticed that you are protecting all your pages. Wikias are supposed to be open for anyone to edit, that's the way they grow! We don't provide private wikias, they are all publically available.

If you want to restrict editing to logged in only, that's fine. Visit Special:WikiFeatures to change that. But protecting everything to only allow admins to edit isn't okay. Please can you reverse that? Thank you

As no one has been around for a while, I'll change the settings now

Thanks, but can you remove their rights if they re-close the wikia?

Crazy Muzzarino, this is sounding increasingly like a personal vendetta. Please back off, what happens next will be a staff decision.

and I've let them know on the founder's message wall it's been removed ever since I wanted to edit here months ago which got declined as it wasn't fair.

Hello Sannse, apologies for the late reply, I have been quite busy as of late. Apologies as well for locking down the wiki, I was not aware it was a big problem. The topic of the wiki is very much niche and not many people have enough knowledge of speedrunning Sonic Heroes to provide accurate information. The Wiki was intended as a knowledge hub for more people to get into Sonic Heroes speedrunning, so we wanted to make sure the information remained as accurate as possible. Nevertheless I respect your rules and will leave the wiki open. I have backed up the current pages just in case.

As for why I denied Muzzarino specifically access, the information he was trying to provide is not relevant to the main topic and purpose of the wiki and he did not strike me as particularly trustworthy. That's all there is to it.

That's fine :) it's absolutely your choice whether he has access here. If you feel it best, you can block him via Special:Block

And thanks for understanding.

Where did you back up the current pages to?
